Alan Kay hasn't been convinced to write a book yet.
He has, however, written about 4 books worth of material on Quora.
He started answering these Quora questions in 2016. And, as of this post, he’s written 316,659 words across 715 different Q&As.
I'm not sure why Quora has been his medium of choice. Perhaps those Quora Digest emails really work.
Unfortunately, the Quora site makes it difficult to easily read and search through all of his answers. If only there was a simple, dedicated page to displaying all of his Q&As. Well now there is.
This archive of Alan's posts from Quora joins other archives of Alan's work including:
- his Squeakland emails, hosted by Bret Victor
- select emails, hosted by Bret Victor
- an incomplete list of talks, hosted by Yoshiki Ohshima
